Staff pledged to use the double-sided printing function for all office printing purposes. They also pledged not to use plastic bottles inside the UN Building, to always ensure office air conditioners are set not lower than 24/25 degrees, and to use the office shredder to make it easier to contribute paper (along with other plastic waste) towards the Government-led plastic and paper collection initiative as part of Rio+20 plans. A “UNDP Go-Green Team” was also inaugurated at the function, following which staff planted trees to make the office compound greener.
